On Andy’s Kiwi Journey, we visited Misco – a nationwide joinery company that’s recently made the switch to a .kiwi domain. We chatted with the team to learn more about what they do, their connection to the community, and why they chose to go .kiwi.

Andy: So, what is it that you do here at Misco?

Misco: We’re a nationwide joinery company offering the complete package - from kitchens and wardrobes to living room display units and stone benchtops. We design, manufacture, and install everything ourselves, right across New Zealand.  Our in-house team fabricates everything from traditional stone to cutting-edge porcelain benchtops. There are some incredible products on the market these days, and we love helping Kiwis bring them into their homes.

Andy: When someone walks through your doors, what can they expect from your team?  Misco: The first thing is an incredible welcome. We want every person who visits us to feel valued and excited — because for many, a new kitchen is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.  We’ll sit down with you to understand your goals, whether it’s a renovation or a new build, and then create a design that’s truly your own. From that first consultation through to installation, we hold your hand every step of the way.  At the end of the day, we’re not just building joinery — we’re creating the heart of your home.

Andy: There’s something special about a company that handles everything from start to finish — design, manufacturing, and install.

Misco: Absolutely. That’s really important to us. We want every customer to have an amazing experience, knowing that everything has been made and fitted by the same team.  It’s about pride in our work and making sure each project feels seamless, personal, and built to last.---

Andy: I’ve noticed Misco’s name around the community, you seem to be involved in a lot of local events.

Misco: Yes, community connection is a huge part of who we are. We don’t often shout about it, but we’re proud to give back. Supporting the people who support us just makes sense — it’s good for our staff, our customers, and our community.

Andy: You even sponsor FPC and NPC rugby?

Misco: We do! We’re big supporters of Canterbury Rugby. In fact, we’ve got a little surprise for you check out the new jersey.

Andy: [laughs] The Misco.kiwi logo on the bottom! That looks fantastic.

Misco: Yeah, it’s a proud moment seeing the team wear it. It’s another way for us to stay connected to our region and the people in it.

Andy: And now you’ve joined the .kiwi family. Why did you decide to make the switch?

Misco: For us, .kiwi just makes sense. Everything we do is made here, by Kiwis, for Kiwis. We design and manufacture in New Zealand, and we’re a part of so many Kiwi homes — so having a .kiwi domain aligns perfectly with who we are.  It’s a reflection of our values and our roots. Joining another New Zealand-owned, family-run company like Dot Kiwi felt like the right fit — and a great way to bring even more Kiwi pride into the Misco brand.

From handcrafted kitchens to community spirit, Misco embodies what it means to be proudly Kiwi — now with a web address to match. Visit them at www.misco.kiwi
